EAMDA’s International Conferences on NMD are two-day events dedicated to sharing scientific knowledge of neuromuscular disorders and build the awareness among the patient community while bridging the expertise from across Europe. While the name is recent – the first conference took place in 2020 – they follow the old tradition that saw two days of expert presentations taking place during EAMDA’s Annual General Meeting.
Today, EAMDA Conferences are renowned events in their own standing. They usually consist of two parts:
- International conference on NMD two days event – open to the public, and
- Satellite symposium – open to healthcare professionals, experts and the pharmaceutical industry.
The International Conference on NMD consist of medical part and includes presentations of recognised experts from different countries covering various NMD topics, while the social part covers topics related to the real-life topics & stories of people with NMD, and stimulates them to actively participate the society, regardless NMD disability. The conference is open for people with NMD, caregivers, families, and experts. We expect to host active participants from all over the globe, as the conference is free for all participants and organized virtually. Moreover, the conference recordings will be published on our video channels as well.
The Satellite Symposium is each year dedicated to a different expert area in NMD and is open to experts on invitation only.
