Arabela Acalinei joined EAMDA in 2019 as a Romanian representative of NMD association. She is president of the Neuro Move CMT Association in Romania, a non-profit national organization that aims to help people affected by CMT and other neuromuscular disorders. As a Career Guidance Specialist for people with disabilities, she helps them integrating into the open labor market.
From the age of 6, she was diagnosed with Charcot Marie Tooth disease. There are three generations of people affected by CMT1A in her family; her two sons included.
Arabela plays a significant role in EAMDA. Besides secretary & PR engagements she is a huge support to EC members and our new opportunity to prove that even scariest European projects are piece of cake for us. 🙂
